Instant Pot Apple Pie Oatmeal
Ingredients:
2 organic Gala apples, cubed
1 cup organic rolled oats (gluten free)
1 cup nondairy milk, unsweetened almond
2 cups filtered water
2 tbs butter, grass-fed organic
1/4 cup organic maple syrup
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1-2 pinches sea salt
1/4 cup toppings of choice: fresh sliced apple, dried berries, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, etc
Instructions:
Wash and chop apples into small cubes. Set aside.
In an Instant Pot, completely melt the butter using the "sauté" function. Add the apples to the pot and sauté for about 2 minutes.
Then, add in the rolled oats and mix together until well combined. Continue sautéing for 1 additional minute.
Turn off the "saute" function by selecting “cancel” on the Instant Pot. Next, add the water, milk, sea salt and cinnamon. Mix everything together well.
Cover the Instant Pot with the lid and set the valve to "sealing". Pressure cook for 6 minutes. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes after pressure cooking.
Then, carefully turn the lid valve to "venting" to release the remaining pressure. Remove the lid. Add maple syrup and mix everything together until evenly combined.
Serve in a small bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon and toppings of choice. Enjoy!
