Italian Sausage and Rice Skillet
Ingredients:
5 Italian sausages, removed from casing
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 yellow onion, diced
8.5 oz sun dried tomatoes
1 1/2 cup white rice
32 oz chicken bone broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
Fresh parmesan cheese
Olive oil
2 cups spinach
1/2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Black pepper
Sea salt
Instructions:
To a pot or large skillet add olive oil and hot Italian sausage removed from casings. Brown the sausage.
Add minced garlic and diced onion. Sauté until fragrant.
Add sun dried tomatoes, white rice and seasoning mixture excluding dill weed and parsley. Mix thoroughly.
Add bone broth and heavy cream. Mix.
Simmer with lid until rice is fully cooked.
When the rice is finished cooking (approx. 20 minutes) mix in the spinach and cover until wilted.
Remove from heat.
Next add dill weed and parsley and thoroughly combine.
Serve and top with fresh parmesan or mozzarella cheese.
