Garlic Butter Green Beans

Ingredients:

3 cups green beans
1 1/2 tbs grass-fed butter or ghee
1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic / or ~3 1/2 tbs minced garlic
Zest of lemon
Juice of a lemon
Flaky sea salt

Instructions:

Wash beans and trim the ends. Mince the garlic.

Add 1-2 inches of water to a saucepan with a steamer basket and bring to a boil. Add beans to the steamer basket and cover. Reduce heat to medium and steam for about 4-5 minutes. 

Meanwhile, in a skillet over low-medium heat- melt the butter/ghee, and add the olive oil and garlic, stirring continuously until golden brown. (About 2-3 minutes)

Add the steamed beans to the skillet, toss to coat with the butter mixture and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. 

Transfer to a serving dish, top with flaky sea salt, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and the zest of a lemon. Serve and enjoy!
